Facilities & Amenities at The Hunt Club

Parks, wetlands and open spaces for families are just some of the facilities you'll find at The Hunt Club

Parks & Wetlands

One of the most spectacular features of The Hunt Club is the vast network of parks, open spaces and wetlands. When completed open space will cover 20 hectares of this multi-award winning residential estate. Over three quarters of this open space will be irrigated using Class A recycled water keeping it green and lush all year round.

The Hunt Club Wetlands is located on Broad Oak Drive. This spectacular wetlands and the surrounding parks, paths and BBQ facilities cover a massive 4.5 hectares and were officially opened in March 2008 by the Mayor of the City of Casey.

Numerous environmental features have been taken into consideration in the development of The Hunt Club Wetlands. This is highlighted by the fact that the wetlands were filled using a combination of stormwater run-off from the estate and a natural waterway. The surrounding parklands are irrigated using Class A recycled water ensuring they stay healthy all year round and at the same time saving thousands of litres of drinking water each year.

Another key environmental feature of The Hunt Club Wetlands is the nearby Melaleuca forest which underwent a major two year revegetation programme to protect and preserve this valuable plant species for future generations.

To encourage an active, healthy lifestyle a network of more than 10km of walking and bicycle paths will connect the various parks, gardens and wetlands in The Hunt Club.

A large Recreation Reserve for sporting activities is also planned and will be located next door to the Primary and Secondary school.

Recycled Water

The Hunt Club was the first residential estate in Victoria to directly supply resident's homes with Class A recycled water for use flushing the toilet and for various outside applications such as watering the garden and car washing.

By using Class A recycled water residents can reduce their drinking water usage by approximately 40 percent. All land for sale in the current stage release, as well as the great value house and land packages, can access this fabulous water-saving initiative reducing household drinking water consumption by up to 40 percent.

The introduction of recycled water is just one of the many sustainable initiatives at The Hunt Club which is why we are one of only five Victorian HIA GreenSmart accredited residential estates.

Telstra Velocity

The Hunt Club is now a Telstra Smart Community® with the installation of new technology for connection to Telstra Velocity. What this means for new householders is that you will have access to a fibre to the home optic network that will deliver guaranteed high speed broadband internet.

Telstra Velocity will also deliver to households multiple fixed phone lines, digital free to air TV without the need for an external antenna and Foxtel without having to install a satellite dish.

Schools

The opening of new State primary and secondary schools within The Hunt Club community has created a major landmark and milestone moment in the estate's young history.

Cranbourne East Secondary College and Cranbourne East Primary School welcomed their first students at the beginning of the 2011 school year on February 4.

The two newly-constructed state-of-the-art educational centres are located on the same site, with students sharing a number of facilities including the gymnasium and theatre.

The Primary School has commenced its life with multiple classes in each level from Prep to Year 6, whilst the Secondary School's curriculum is limited to Year 7 in its inaugural year. It is planned for the scope of the Secondary School to expand by one year level annually until the VCE program is incorporated.

With both new schools boasting quality facilities and excellent teaching staff, residents at The Hunt Club now have the education needs of their children catered for locally within a short walking distance of home.

Shops

Located on the corner of Narre-Warren Cranbourne Rd and Linsell Blvd, Cranbourne, is the site for the future The Hunt Club Shopping Centre. The centre will provide a wide range of shops to cater for both resident's everyday needs as well as specialty shopping.
